We want to address and explain something about Waddle Penguins Island's future updates, availability, and downtimes.
Since August 3rd, 2023, we have not released any updates. As mentioned countless times in our Discord channels, our developers are mostly free only in June – August. That's when most of our work happens. During the normal year, we're all busy with school, work, and life in general. As you all may have noticed, we went completely radio silent after August 2023. The reality hit, and we were no longer able to provide any updates, community meetups, anything at all. There was only one meetup organised. We need to ask you for your extended patience, as our lives go on, we're still more and more busy. We haven't been able to show you or release things that we've been working on at all. Since July 12th, 2023, we have our Content system, but we didn't have enough time to adapt it for all platforms nor to release it. That is what you'll see likely next, when we have some free time to get it fully done.
You may have noticed, that Waddle Penguins Island's core service – our API – likes to go down for some time, come back up then go down and do that in a repeated circle until someone intervenes. We haven't been able to look into this yet. However, if you notice that, please notify us via our Discord (https://r.waddlepenguins.me/discord) [Discord is an external service. Waddle Penguins Island will continue to be available, however we cannot specify when we will release our next update. There will be no parties this year, only Halloween, Christmas, and New Year's Celebration rewards.
