Hi penguin pals,
Waddle Penguins Island is a fantastic project and its community is truly an inspiration. We’ve kept going for so long just because of all of you.
With an extensive history, there always comes an end. With great sadness, I need to inform you that Waddle Penguins Island will be closing on April 26th, 2025. This decision was not something easy to decide on.
NOTE: A separate timetable post will be released later.
Waddle Penguins Island has a long history and in this Island News post, I'd like to thank everyone who took part in any part of the project's run and helped us shape what it became. First opening our doors on Halloween 2019, we've gone from a CPPSCreator CPPS to a full-fledged CPPS in 2020 and then in 2021 a one-of-a-kind CPIPS. With over 2900 users (as of April 6th), it's one of the largest projects I've had the opportunity to work on and the biggest one I've ever owned.
This project brought our entire team a lot of memories. Starting with the (quite rocky!) release on October 9th, 2021, followed by the 16th Anniversary of Club Penguin meetup and of course all community meetups we've enjoyed all together!
Waddle Penguins was a great 6-year-long lesson on many new skills. During the lifetime of the project, we've learned how to: work with each other, celebrate the great legacy of Disney's Club Penguin and communicate with our big penguin family. #OnceAPenguinAlwaysAPenguin
At this point, I'd like to say thank you to all of our players, every past and current member of the Waddle Penguins Team and everyone who's ever checked our work out. I'd like to personally thank:
